Smoking just once already makes us addicted and we will suffer from withdrawal if we don’t continue consuming, but it is so easy to achieve that we can spend the entire week high. We can accumulate as many as we can buy/get and some combat sections become easier if we can heal all the time. To heal ourselves, in addition to eating food we can smoke a “health pipe” which is basically paco. In some sections the game forces us to use what little it gives us at the time, and it’s a good excuse to try the rest of the arsenal. I’m not going to lie, the variety is nice, but we end up using the few that are good.

They range from cages full of pigeons that double as bombs to four-barreled shotguns. Some weapons are useless and others are so over the top that they are hard to believe. The crosshead that we have as a sight with some weapons seems to be an ornament. The AI of the enemies is not very good, most of the time it makes them stand still shooting, or come to melee without any fear. The combat itself isn’t great, it feels pretty boxy and the weapons don’t work as you’d imagine most of the time. To have fun at Edensin we have a huge and very diverse arsenal. Most of the time the NPCs will run away from us or insult us, in more extreme cases they will want to fight. It cannot be said that the game is not full of surprises. Before anything we do, the NPCs will react in one way or another, not always according or as expected. The game gives us a lot of freedom to do crazy things, we have a menu to do actions like emotes that looks like something out of a multiplayer game. It’s all very absurd and exaggerated, like humor, it doesn’t work often and sometimes it gives a little cringe.
The story is not good, but it serves as an excuse for the missions of each day. And that’s when it stops being funny, it’s the classic example of someone following a joke long after everyone’s stopped laughing. I’m not going to lie, I laughed a lot, but the game is so overloaded with little jokes that there comes a point where everything is an attempt to make a joke.
But on the other hand, the game warns about the content that it is going to expose before doing so. For this reason and the little tact it handles, the game can be considered quite offensive. Those drugs aren’t going to buy themselves and the cost of living in Edensin isn’t cheap either.Įdensin is a very particular city, in almost everything we see there will be a joke or a reference to popular culture being mercilessly ridiculed. The long-term goal is going to be to get the trailer back, but for now the Postal Dude is going to have to get a job to make some dough. The Postal Dude and his dog Champ end up, after a curious incident, losing their auto- trailer-home and stranded in the shady town of Edensin, Arizona.
